ACCOUNT PENALTIES
Why was I banned or muted?
If your account has been banned or muted, it means our team found that you broke one or more rules in the Code of Conduct.
Common reasons for bans:
- Using more than one account
- Match-fixing, collusion, or rigging tournaments
- Using bots, hacks, or other third-party software
- Manipulating rankings, including Elo, Crowns, Tournament Points, or seasonal leaderboard position
- Win-trading or arranging game outcomes to farm Crowns or Tourney points
- Laundering gold through middleman accounts or suspicious coin transfers
- Abusing the refund process
- Buying or selling accounts, gold, or in-game items for real money
- Pretending to be a staff member or another player
- Creating a new account to get around a ban
Common reasons for mutes:
- Offensive, abusive, or threatening language in chat
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Spamming or flooding the chat
- Sharing someone else's personal information
- Advertising, promoting outside services, or running scams
- Arguing about moderator decisions in public chat
- Encouraging other players to break the rules
How long does it last?
It depends on what you did and whether you've been in trouble before. Penalties get worse each time:
- A small first-time offense usually means a warning or a short mute (1 hour to 24 hours).
- Repeat offenses or more serious violations lead to longer mutes or temporary bans (7 days to 30 days).
- The worst violations (hacking, match-fixing) or a long history of bad behavior can lead to a permanent ban.
For the full breakdown, see Section 7 of our Code of Conduct.
I think my penalty was unfair. What can I do?
If you think we made a mistake, you can appeal:
- Go to our contact form.
- Include your Player ID, the date you were penalized, and any evidence that supports your case.
- Our team will look into it and get back to you.
Keep it private.
How do I avoid getting banned or muted?
- Read the Code of Conduct and follow it.
- Treat other players the way you'd want to be treated.
- Play fair. Rely on your own skill.
- If someone else is breaking the rules, report them instead of fighting back.
- If you're not sure whether something is allowed, don't do it.
